Installing TamilBible Font.exe (is a self-extracting executable)

Important Tip for Microsoft Explorer users:

If you are using Microsoft Explorer and you do not get 'File Download' dialog box while clicking on the link then it is recommended that you right click on the link and choose 'Save Target As…' option to download the file at the desired location.

If you are you using Internet Explorer Installation is a two step procedure

If your fonts are installed correctly, they will appear in the fonts list of the operating system. You may require to reboot the machine in Windows 3.1 system. In Windows-95 or Windows NT, it is not required to reboot the machine but you might have to re-open the running application in order to see the newly installed fonts. If you see desired font as one of the available fonts, you are through with the installation of fonts.

If fonts still do not work for you, then please send an email to tamilchristian@home.com specifying the following details:

Your Operating System, Browser type and Version and what step you are having problem with. Please specify particulars like difficulty in downloading fonts, extracting fonts, installing fonts, do this font work in other applications or not. Please elaborate on the problem nature, as it would help us in expediting the response. Since the font installation is only one time activity, you may get better help from a colleague/friend who is a computer Exp.

Step 2.

Installing TamilBible.ttf (Simple Way)

If you dont know how to install in windows :

download the fils Download TamilBible.ttf  and copy in c:\windows\fonts\  and restart  your PC .

Step 3.

The Manual Procedure to Install Font.  (TamilBible Font.ttf)

If you are visiting this site for the first time, you may have difficulties in reading the Tamil script, as the required fonts may not be installed on your computer. These Fonts are for Windows based systems only. Just follow the steps given below to install the fonts on your computer.

1) Right click on the TamilBible.ttf link given below, and save the font files in a folder on your computer (eg: C:\Temp or C:\My Documents).

2) After the font are saved, click on Start -> Settings -> Control Panel. In the Control Panel double-click on ‘Fonts’.

3) Select File -> Install New Font... option. Then select the drive and folder in which you had saved the font files (eg: C:\Temp or C:\My Documents). You should see the file TamilBible.ttf displayed in the upper left corner box.

4) Select the font file then click on 'OK'. The fonts will get installed on your computer. You should now be able to view the site in. If not, then you may have to change some settings in your browser:

a) For Internet Explorer - Click on View -> Encoding and select User defined.

b) For Netscape - Click on Edit -> Preferences -> Fonts. You will find three options under the title ‘Sometimes a document will provide its own fonts’. Select the third option ‘Use document-specified fonts, including dynamic fonts.’

For the Windows NT Users - Display Properties ->the 'Plus' tab->"Smooth edges of screen fonts"
